Default shooting from tree stand

What do you use to rest your gun on when you are up in your stand getting ready to take a shot? I have a few stands that I dont have anything to rest my gun on.

If you own a factory made stand, some come with shooting rests. If you do not, I always find the side of the tree is good when I am standing up. I try and use my elbow resting on my legs when I am setting down.

I shoot off hand 90% of the time and use the tree the rest of the time.

Wrap your sling below your elbow so that it is a snug fit. It should help stabalize your arm and rifle.
