Same place for years and years....far northern Wisconsin close to Lake Superior, right in the middle of the snow belt. Alot of land for many miles. Not a whole lot of deer, but some biguns...tough critters that have to deal with wolves and many times, a high winter kill.
This will be the first year in 30+ years hunting that I WON"T be whitetail hunting during our 9 day rifle season...although the reason fell in my lap with a very late season elk/mulie hunt in NW Montana (Bob Marshall Wilderness). So I am NOT complaining at all! I've been with this same outfitter before with my Dad a numbers of years ago, but it was an earlier hunt. If we have a big snow season, the bulls will be coming down and the mulies should be in full rut....yeah baby, can't wait!!
