    Default When does your deer season start & end?
    Bow, Gun, Muzzleloader, & Rifle? I am running a big buck contest and need to know when to start & finish it.
    The contest is from Canada to the southern U.S.

    Big buck contest are good, if they are on a local basis. No way that the extreme SE area will produce a winner because the area doesn't produce that kind of deer. There is a Big Buck Expo this weekend in Dothan, Alabama and in the ad they say the smallest buck on display is larger than the Alabama record buck. Sort of like having a big bass contest, they just don't grow that big in your area.

    Ours starts Oct 1st and you can hunt until Jan 1st!

    UTAH

    Archery-August 22-Sept 15 Extended Nov 15-Dec 7 for buck Dec 8-14 for doe
    Muzzleloader- Sept 23- Oct 3
    Rifle- Oct 21-Oct 28

    The deer season for bucks in south Texas runs from the end of sept. all the way through the end of jan.
