RE: Peanut Butter
I'd be surprised if peanut butter stayed aroung long enough for a deer to eat it.My guess is that squirrels, insects, and especially birds like Jays and Flickers would clean out a stash in short order.

I tried it with no luck

RE: Peanut Butter
We'll have an answer soon enough. We are going to use Junior's Huntin Lab-i-tory to find out. One of my hunting partners has a couple of pet deer he keeps in a 2 acre high fence. I mean a pet like you can pet them and one is a big buck. We are going to fee Thumper so peanut butter and see if he likes it.

RE: Peanut Butter
I DON'T KNOW ABOUT PEANUT BUTTER, BUT A BUDDY OF MINE AND I STARTED MIXING CORN AND DRY, POWDERED STRAWBERRY JELLO. WE USED A POST-HOLE DIGGER AND FILLED THE MIXTURE INTO A HOLE ABOUT TWO FEET DEEP. WE HAVE TO DIG AND FILL NEW HOLES EVERY 2 TO 3 DAYS. I WOULD NOT EVER HAVE BELIEVED IT IF I HADN'T DONE IT MYSELF!

RE: Peanut Butter
HA! There are products that are meant to be used that way(much pricier than jello, to be sure) I have a buddy that runs an outfitter's store and he gave me some addative and at the time I was mixing it with my corn, I remember that is smelled remarkably like Jello or Kool-Aid. . . .ummmm....I think we can all agree that deer like sweet stuff. . . . I heard of a guy using donuts on string. Heh! Well, you are either going to find success or have a boatlaod of diabetic deer running around. . . .
