RE: Hunting Clubs?

We have a 2,300 acre lease in NW Arkansas. Dues are $800 per year which covere immediate family. There are 20 members in the club, of which 8 or 9 actually hunt. We've got deer, turkey, bear, hogs & small game. Has about a 7 acre lake, camp house, big barn and couple of smaller buildings. We put in some food plots this spring and plan to put in some more in Sept.

my dad and 3 of his brothers own a lumber company, and they have a branch off of that that is just land...the company owns 640 acres in Allamakee/Clayton counties, same tract..we're tryign to acquire a few hundred more right next to it. then we own an 80 in allamakee county iowa. a 750 in Grant county Wisconsin too. we all hunt together as family in Wisconsin on teh 750 and us, my dad's brother and his sons, and close friends and neighbors hunt our land in iowa together. kinda like a club. the friends and non-Nelsons all help out around the property, whether planting food plots, giving us gift certificates to cabelas, or buying seed to plant. it all works out.

The club I belong to cost $45.00 a year but we're on our own. I hunt on crown land. Getting permission to hunt on private land isn’t as easy as it used to be.

You people don't know how cheap your clubs are. You are all lucky!!

Try 1300 per person/640 acres/lease land. 13 memberships, but only 8 members. Mosts bought dual shares to keep our numbers low. $2600, but it is PRIME property. All wooded, creek in the bottom, 75% hardwoods (oaks), high land and bottom land, and only a 30 minute drive away. Two P&Y bucks killed there last year.

Believe it or not, we filled the memberships in less than two weeks.

The hunting club I belong to charges $250 for hunting on 460 acres, next to 3,000 acres game lands. Anyway, I pay nothing since I work for the owner, monitoring his dam, next to my house.

I pay $700 a year for a hunting club. $500 is for the property lease, $200 is for camp utilities, food plots, etc... We have 9 hunters on 1,000 acres in south east Mississippi (20 miles from the Mississippi river). Our lease is the cheapest in the county at $4.5 per acre. The property surrounding us is paying anywhere from $12 to $14 per acre. Clubs in close proximity to us are around $1,200-$1,500 per year. I consider myself very lucky in that respect.

All of our hunting leases are cheap compared to this one. I was even amazed at the price per gun per deer season. But none the less, just about all of the spots are filled for this upcoming season. This lease is on one of the pastures of the Kennedy ranch, which is located next to the King ranch. Check out the prices..........:)

My club lease's a premium property in Buffalo county Wisconsin for $10,000. We split it up between two groups of three bowhunters for $1667 each. Several booners have come off of this lease includeing a 197 inch buck. Includes bow hunting rights only. This is much cheaper than if I booked a week long hunt with a local outfitter, most of them get over $2000 for 1 week on ground that has heaveyer hunting pressure.
