Ruger #1 in 25-06 with leupold 3.5 x 10 Vari X III, if its mule deer I use a Ruger #1 in 7mm STW with same scope.

Remington 870 3" magnum with a Hastings fully rifled barrel, muzzle brake and 4 M.O.A. 30 mm Red Dot sight.....oh yeah....and a sling!

lots of punch, long flat trajectory.
super accurate.
light recoil.
Best whitetail gun, IMO

well i like to use the 510 Nitro Express stuffed with 550 gr SP's for does and the 700 gr sp's for bucks. i toped it off with a leupold tatical scope 8-24x50 i just hope i have enough gun for this coming season
