Any of the ladder-stand makers using aluminum?

Looking in the Cabela's catalog it shows the API stands as being aluminum. Others state they are steel and others don't say what the metal is.

Bass Pro Buddy stand , we bought 7 of them last years, will hold 400 lbs , for about $90. Dont ever intend to build another one from wood..

I know the aluminum is going to be more expensive....but I'll bet they seem like they get cheaper with every step you take carrying them.
