My first deer was with a bow as well. I got a 150 lb doe. Better then not having any meat in the freezer.

My first deer was a doe with my rifle. I was 12 years old and it will be 10 years ago this year that I got her. I got that doe on my third day hunting.I was so happy with that deer, I have killed many deer siince but none stick out in my mind as much as that doe does.

My first deer was a mule deer buck. Not a big one but it was to me at the time. He was running away from me and I shot him in the back of the head with my dads old Eddiestone 1917 30-06. A little luck may have been involved with that shot. Of course I would not admit it at that time.

My first was a doe that weighed in at 130 lbs dressed, what a thrill. I've taken a few since but that is definitely the most memorable. I've taken a few button bucks and 4 pointers but when I get the one that's worth mounting, I'm sure that will be the same.

My first deer was when I was 14, it was a long spike shot at the end of opening day. I used a Ithaca mod 37, 20 ga with slug
