Default big scrape! (pic)

This is what me & my hunting partner were hunting for last season...tore the ground and bush all around us like I've never seen, he rubbed the bush in 3 areas as well, but doesn't show up well in the pic. JDinAB

Just who are you trying to fool? Everyone on this board knows that there are no big bucks in Canada. You might be successful in fooling some of us, but not ALL of us!
(Nice scrape by the way. Good luck getting him next year!)

That definitely is a dandy scrape. I would have loved to have seen the buck or bucks that have been frequenting it.

No, it was our last day up there when we found it. I will be setting up near it next year for sure! JDinAB

Last day, late in the season, usually not the time of year for scrape activity, wide open area (not your usual scape location), snow on the ground covering browse, no overhanging lick branch (I've never seen a scrape that wasn't under a branch where scent from eye glands could be deposited). I'm thinking this could have been a doe or any deer for that matter that was pawing the ground in search of feed. I think you might be better off looking elsewhere.

Not a bad analysis for a first time poster, swampbuck 2. Welcome to the board!
