RE: skull mounts
Instead of Sal Soda, you can use washing soda you find in the laundry detergent section of the grocery store. Sal Soda is washing soda.

RE: skull mounts
I get peroxide in a paste form from the local beauty salon. You can paint it on with a paint brush and leave it work. If you get any on the antlers a little golden oak wood stain rubbed into them makes them look natural again.

RE: skull mounts
I boil out the skull using Borex detergent (soap). Once the skull is clean I'll let it air dry in the sun for a few days. Then depending on how bright I want the skull i paint it with what eve colour white I want.
You can use peroxide but BE VERY CARFUL!!....IT'LL EAT AWAY THE BONE MAKING IT SOFT IF YOU USE IT FOR TO LONG OF TOO HIGH OF A CONCENTRATION here is one of mine. Sorry about the lighting[:@] ![]() |
