Deer Rifle Preference: Browning vs Remington
#11

I have a Browning A-bolt Stalker and two 700 Remingtons right now. I like them both real well. That said I have had at least 25 700 Remingtons. Not one problem ever with any of them. I have never had any decent quality rifle of any brand let me down. That includes all the models of Savage, Remington, Ruger, Sako and Browning. My Browning is a 308.

i'd have to agree that i also prefer the safety on the remmington but overall quality i think browning has them beat. i defitly think the browning a-bolt has a better feel and the a-bolt action is second to none.

I own both rem 700 (308) and brwn A bolt 2 (7mm mag) -shot deer with both but I'd go with brwning, there just a great gun--sweet-- pricy but in honest opinion worth every cent. ~ when ordered my 7mm, it ended up coming w/boss, lots less recoil but the noise is greatly enhanced! but you don't pay it no mind when deer in sights

I use a Rem 700 in .270 that I bought 29 years ago. I can't remember but two times it didn't bring home the deer, one was a flat miss at a running deer and the other I misjudged a deer at about 350 yards and I hit it in the lower front leg and it got away. Lots of deer, I vote Remington.

Remington! I've owned quite a few and still do and i've never had any problems at all with any of them.
Great choice, the Sendero is a nice looking rifle and a real shooter to boot!
