RE: This years dink
Thanks guys, with only three days in the season you sometimes tend to put some pressure on yourself as if your actually going to fill your tag and at the same time kick yourself for letting others go. Your only allowed one tag so you want it to be a good one, but wait too long, your going to be eating tag-soup.

Taz not sure what he weighed in at, but I couldn't get him in my truck by myself, after I shot him I hiked back to the truck, and got the tobaggon and loaded him on it and started dragging it through the snow, Whew, I will say it was a job and the meat does't come free by any means.

Aught six, 150 gr. are an excellent choice if your strickly hunting deer, the deer up here are usually bigger than the ones back east so I have to compromise with the big game and deer and use the 180's.
Thanks again guys and wait till next year, Good luck guys, Bobby

Bambikiller. can't you tell by the picture that I'm a dink too You guys are great, but its kinda like kissin your sister or taken the pimple face girl to the prom when you coulda had the prom queen, don't get me wrong, I feel blessed that the land granted me the rewards, but sometimes you wonder who beat who, I was so exhausted by the end of the season, my tongue was hanging outta my mouth too.
In persuit of this deer the snow was about 18" deep maybe 2 ft in places and signs and scrapes in the snow, very easy even for a blind man to find, the dang deer would come in and feed on the moss on the trees that had blown over or fell , when the ground was covered with snow, these fall downs were the only source of food for these deer and they would make a trail to these blow downs, so I took advantage of this as many does and smaller bucks would feed around, it was the peak of the rut and evidence of it all around and I knew I was in primo country but it was a matter of being there at the right time, I got this one mid-afternoon, and I earned every pound of it .[:-] Bobby
