Where I live (northern Maine), you can kill one deer per year. If you archery hunt you have the option of taking a buck or a doe, otherwise it's bucks only.

In North Dakota you can shoot one for each type of license if you get drawn for a buck. Its a lottery here except for the bow tags.

georgetown, I thought we are allowed three total all counties combined. For instance in west Texas where I hunt I can shoot two bucks however if I go to leon county I can shoot another with a total of three. Maybe I need to read the book again.

Illinois only allows two buck total through all seasons; bow, gun, muzzleloader, and pistol.

Here in Saskatchewan, Canada you can get 1 - WT either sex tag per year for most zones. In 2003 they allowed a second WT either-sex (resident only) tag for the forest zones only. I am not sure if it will be the same next year or not, we'll have to wait and see.
We also have Mule Deer either-sex bow tag over the counter.
Draw system for Mule Deer Trophy(actually it is an either-sex) for ml or rifle(if drawn you can use a bow as well but are not limited to a bow only like the over the counter tag).

Ohio allows 1 buck per season. Some people complain but I like it that way. After I tag out I buy a PA out of state license for another buck tag.

Hey BOBO21. . .the book I got, Texas parks and wildlife outdoor annual talks about this per county. Take another peek. . you might have some more hunting to go. 2 weekends now for spikes and does. I am lucky to hunt in the hill country where we get 5 total, and with my 2 boys we get a freezer full.
