Don't tell anyone, but for deer, I'm kind of thinking that my compound bow might have a heavy lead for my favorite (no one can find out-top secret-I've got too many deer rifles at stake!). I love bow hunting, taking the rifle out after whitetails anymore kind of feels like cheating.

If we're not talkin just deer, or we're talking firearms only, then I'm probably a toss up between my .44mag 5.5" Stainless Vaquero and a Marlin Model 99 M-1 .22lr, it looks just like a scaled down .30carbine M-1Carbine with a marlin action, SWEET shooter, my dad lost the rear sight when he was a teenager after he put a scope on it, and the front sight just came loose (tension screw only) recently, but the thing is, I can still hit rabbits on the run at 20yrds and in the head when sitting at 75yrds nearly EVERY time...I really love that rifle! The vaquero is just mean, I'm CAS/SASS so I've got a couple, but my first is definately my favorite, it's a wicked whallopper, fast handling 5.5" light-weight gun (compared to most hunting handguns), but in a .44mag, I can deliver a heck of a punch...keith specials (.44spcl's) make for fun small game hunting and light practice/CAS loads.

For deer: The "Hammer" Remington Model 700 7mm Mag spoitting Wwinchester Supreme Balistic Silvertips. Haven't missed in 2 years. Hand me down from pops.
For Hogs(close quarters combat) : Remington model 740 semi Auto 30.06. Has a brass plate on the stock with my grandpa's initials etched in it. It has a very short barrel and is very handy to swing around. Also have Marlin .30-30 lever action w/ iron sights. fun gun
Bow: PSE G-force. Old school, enormous and heavy, but I can target shoot with any new bows in my camp. Bought it from a friend.
