I know what the driver is going thru....we also hit a deer with our 3/4 ton chev 4x4... It was not a nice feeling .....$ 5300.00 damage...

I agree that the population needs to be thinned out before the insurance companies lobby to do it for us.

That was a pretty amazing video. I hope the officer was ok. I am sure he almost soiled his pants! If that would have been a regular car without the grill guard someone could have died. This is a good video to demenostrate the necessity of hunting to keep the number of animals at a safe number.

thats awesome... not the fact that it was a deer was killed like that cuz thats reallywas a waste of a nice buck the fact that it was done on to a cop u dont see that often!!!

hey thanks for sharing the vid. although it is a horrible way to see such a beautiful young animal end its life, it opens the eyes of people like myself to what can happen in other countries as it just doesn't happen here in New Zealand

That was a pretty hard hit. I live up here in maine and when someone tells me they hit a deer i say that they should be happy it wasnt a moose. My uncles parents hit a big bull moose last year and it totaled the car. After that they had a convertibal and alot of meat. The sad part is they made it a convertibal in the middle of winter. The good part is it wasnt to far form my uncles house so they called the game warden which is a family friend and got permission to shoot and gut the animal. When it was gutted and skinned out it waighed somewhares neer 750lbs. i think. It sure did a number on the car though.

There was a wreck just as bad as this in Highland County, Ohio of last year. The buck totaled the cruiser to the grave. You should have seen the buck! The officer took it and had it mounted and was the heaviest 8 i've ever seen. His G3's were 2 1/2 inches around! [] His rack weighed somewhere around 12-15 lbs.[][]
