Meat Question

I just got my deer back from the butcher and one of the packages had Deer Fish marked on it. Does anyone know what part of the deer this is and how to cook it.

Thanks,

Deer Fish??? never heard of it. Something doesn’t sound right. Is this a friend that butchered your deer and is playing a trick on you?

deer fish lol. Make yourself a beer batter and deep fry it. Be sure all the bones are out of it. I think the butcher mismarked something or it's some strange kind of hybrid.

Just a thought--- some people call the little tenderloins underneath the spine catfish. Maybe its those tenderloins?

deer fish................yes I'm pretty sure it a part of the tenderloins, also very tender and delicious, sometimes better then the tenders if cooked right but not as big, maybe 8-9" long if this is what you are talking about.
