I grind mine into burger but have tried something new a butcher told me to do instead of using beef fat use pieces of chopped up bacon and grind it togeather, it is outstanding and gives deer meat alot more flavor
Trophyhuntr I have never tried that, but it sure sounds good, my wife is getting me a meat grinder for Christmas to where I don't have to pay a butcher to do my grinding.

Me and my wife like making venison meat loaf. here is a recipe that is awesome. If you can find it, use the campbells garlic tomato soup, and go real heavy on it. GOOD stuff

Ericshup

:)
VENISON MEATLOAF
1- Pound of Ground Venison
½- Pound of Sage Pork Sausage
½- Cup of Dried Bread Crumbs
1- Egg
½- Cup of Milk
½- Package of Meatloaf Seasoning
4- Oz. Of Tomato Sauce

Combine and mix well the first six ingredients and shape into loaf. Place meatloaf into greased baking dish and add ¾ cup of water. Pour 4- oz. of tomato sauce over meatloaf and cover loosely with foil. Pre heat oven at 350 degrees. Place Meatloaf in center rack and bake for two hours or until done. Remove from oven and let stand and cool for ten minutes. Slice and serve. Usually serves 4 persons. Also good cold for sandwiches.

Burger is great - like others - chili, whatever you use burger in....

I like to take about 10-15 pounds of burger and make summer sausage in the smoker out of it. It's a three day process of mixing and babysitting a smoker, but it is GOOD!!!
