BTW, thanks Hntngirl fro you help with the posts.

The .450 is perfect for the hunting I do. Thick woods and sometimes a quick shot. I have mine equipped with a zero magnification reddot scope mounted on a scout mount. I'll admit the 350 grain bullet might be a bit much, but I come home with them when I shoot and if I have to follow a blood trail, its a good one. Good hunting to all!!!:)

Yes, he is going on the wall. My taxidermist in Locust Grove, GA already has him. I must have let a dozen bucks go by before I finally shot one of them. I'm happy with this and upon further review of the jaw, we believe him to be more like 6.5 or 7.5. That particular morning (11/30), it was 23 degrees with a heavy frost. I had this doe come by me with two 100 class bucks on her tail and was almost tempted to shoot one of them, but decided at the last second to let'm walk. About 10 minutes later, this guy grunted from a distance and I returned a couple his way. He came right in, stopped and stuck his nose in the trail of the doe right in front of me. I could have killed him with the bow. Oh yeah, I was on the ground in the thick pines, too. This deer also has a unique color, grayish white face with a red head between the antlers. A great hunt!!

My son and I have pretty much finished hunting. I've gotten three does and this 9 pt. and he's gotton a nice 8 and a doe. Talk to you soon!!
