Default Question of the day for me!

Are you aloud to hang a stand from a telephone pole!? Out in the country where those HUGE telephone poles there was a guy on a stand on one of them. A guy a couple years ago, almost killed himself because he was so high that when he lifted his bow to stand up it hit the wires. Just wondering. I would but i guess some would.

That sounds like a pretty stupid idea to me. Not only do you need to worry about your overheard clearance (or else risk death), but your outline would be almost completely exposed.

I would imagine that it's highly illegal, i.e. safety violation and trespassing. The utility companies don't take kindly to people climbing on their property.

I hear ya all there! I would never climb i telephone wire. I think it is illegal to be ON the pole but not around them. Which those are fun to hunt!

Yep, that's what I meant. The ground is fine, but the moment you put a foot on the pole, you're asking for a heap of trouble from the company.

Pretty dumb if you ask me. [8D]

And I think someone else said it, I think it's illegal to mess with Power
Company poles.

I wonder that if the power company saw that they would wait for him a. to get shocked or b. wait for him to climb down & be irratated he didnt get shocked!

You can bet the farm that the power company would get a trespasser down ASAP. Any unauthorized person on a pole is a major liability, regardless of the law prohibiting the trespassing. Just think of how sue-happy the country is today.
