I would think that despite the laws of the state, a private club should be able to run a tighter ship and limit the guy if they so choose. If only one person out of the club (you) have a problem, then find another club. I doubt you are the only one, so I’d see if all the other members felt that way then limit him, or tell him to hunt elsewhere.

I just did a quick search and found the NJ Rules and regs, from a quick reveiw of the bag limits it would seem that this whole post is BS.

121553 in Michigan you can get one doe tag a day until they sell out for private land. My county never sells out so you could get like over a 100 deer if you wanted.

If NJ has enough deer to let a person kill 30+ deer a year then I' m hunting in the wrong state. This guy you speak of is not a very responsible hunter. I personnally only shot a deer if I have a clear shot. I personnally wouldn' t feel safe with a guy " shooting up the woods" around me. Put the pressure on him.

Good Luck!!

What would someone do with 30 deer? I think that many deer would feed a town.

Maybe this guy is using other people' s tag and filling them out for them. To me it sounds like that some of the members are afraid of this guy. IMO the club should vote in a new club president who knows how to run a club.and knows how to set rules and if you do not like the rules that has been voted in,leave the club.

Hey REM7400, You can kill a whole s..t load of deer in NJ. In zone 17 where I hunt, which is in central Jersey, the bag limit is basically unlimited. Here' s the run down.
Fall bow- 1 buck, unlimited antlerless deer
Permit bow- 1 buck, unlimited antlerless deer
permit muzzleloader - 1 buck, unlimited antlerless deer
Six day firearm- 2 bucks, unlimited antlerless deer
permit shotgun- 1 buck (only if you didn' t fill both tags during the six day)
unlimited antlerless deer
winter bow- 1 buck, unlimited antlerless deer

That' s the deal, crazy isn' t it. So basically you can kill as many deer as your heart desires, no limit.

Bigway,
Thanks for help deciphering the regs. I saw the 6 day firearm/permit shotgun reg and got the impression that a lot of does were eligible. I also took note of what the regs require after the kill such as tagging, checking the deer, etc.
I doubt this guy is totally legal with 30+ deer(does he tag and check them all?) Or does he even kill 30+ deer? Or does this guy even exist?!! Sort of hard to imagine a bunch of fellas from NJ allowing a jackstick like this to be shooting up the deer herd and not do anything about it .
I still say this post is BS!!
