I read over and over TRs rattling tips. this morning I was sitting there about 1 hr before daylight, I started to grunt and rattle. Then right at daylight I used my doe bleat can. THis bucka ru trotted right out of the woods right beside me. I was going to let him walk so he would be bigger next year but 1. I am out of food and 2. that would never happen, some other idiot would shoot him. Well here he is.

Congrats! I' ve never rattled one up before! Where I hunt, most of the hunters are meat hunters. We have seen some decent bucks but since no one else on our lease are trophy hunters, we can' t afford to be too choozy! It all eats good anyway! Again congrats!

OH yeah it works, I have actually heard bucks fighting before daylight I thought it was a person but I know for a fact no one hunts on our land. Plus if they were surely they wouldn' t be stupid enough to rattle just to let us know where they are. But I hate the fact that I used my gun I wish I could have gotten him with my bow. I just feel like gun hunting is not fair. What the crap is wrong with me, did I just say that.

Hey x, congrats on the buck. You don' t need to make excuses of any sort for the deer you take, with a gun or a bow. Nice buck.

What makes this so special to me is that this is only my 3rd buck to ever kill. >Lastyear was my first year ever to kill a buck. I still consider this one my first also.
