when i shot my first buck, we didnt get home untill 10:30 b/c my dad HAD to stop at every one of his friends houses. i dunno who was happier, me or him. it feels good dont it?? like my dad says, " i dont hunt any more, i guide. and i have two great clients" (meaning me and my brother).

Congrats to you and your son, I remember the first one my son killed. It is a lasting memory:D:D

The first deer is always a memory of a lifetime. I was lucky enough to have my father beside me when i harvested my first deer. That is my best hunting memory to date. I' ve harvested many deer, but nothing is like sharing the experience with those you love.

Congrats to both of you! Both my boys have a few years to go before they get their chance. My oldest will be going on his first hog hunt later this year. It will be his first " non-small game" kill. I think I am more excited than he is. A freind of mine' s son got his first deer this year too. Whole lot fo firsts this year. Congrats again.
