I see the guys in here using three phrases to describe there hunting places. Hunting Camp, Hunting Club, and Hunting Lease. Whats the difference? I also noticed the different parts of the country dictate what it will be called. Can anybody shed some light on this subject?

While I call mine a camp as it is on public land. I will venture to say people call leases b/c they lease the rights to hunt that land and a club is a group of hunters that together either lease or own land of which they pay equally to hunt on.

Our hunting club, about 18 members, pay about $1400 each per year to lease the hunting rights to several thousand acres of land. As part of the club we have an area we call the camp where you can bring a camper and hook up to the facilities.
