My buck has made it into our state record book.
I had my buck scored yesterday and it has officially made it for our state book of records! I was hoping that it would score 125 and was thinking it would be around 130. It has been officially scored with a gross of 148 5/8ths. After the deductions were figured in it scored 143 1/8! Yessa I thought that I was going to be deer less last fall. But, it all changed in a split second. I was happy to get an antlered deer period and was shocked with what I ended up with..

Congratulations on your buck making it into the state record book! That’s quite an achievement and you must be thrilled. It’s amazing that it scored even higher than you were hoping for, with a gross of 148 5/8ths and a net score of 143 1/8 after deductions. It just goes to show that sometimes things can change in a split second and you never know what surprises life has in store for you. I’m glad that you were able to get an antlered deer and even more so that it turned out to be such a special one. Well done! 😊
