favorite calibre
 

I know this has probably been done here a thousand times,but what is everyones favorite calibre for deer hunting.Im fairly new here and would like to get everyones oppinion on their favorites.Also their favorite firearms.thanx:D

There are a bunch of great calibers out there for hunting deer. I guess a lot of it may depend of where you hunt, the yardage you will be shooting and the size of your deer. I live in South Carolina and my average shot is 250 - 300 yards. I have shot many calibers my my old favorite is a Rem. model 700 .308 caliber. I have a good bit of custom work done do it such as trigger pull, floating the barrell, stock work etc... My wife shoots a .270 and she loves it. Good Luck!! -- CDH

I use 2 different 30-06 rifles a old rebarreled and restocked Enfield and my dad' s Husqvqarna. Both have decent groups, and the options available for handloading is more than enough for my needs.
