Default I harvested this doe after watching her.

I watched this does for three days. A friend said he felt sorry for her after he had seen her. He asked me to take her out if I saw her again. We couldn;t make the decision if it is a deformity or was shot off.

Around here, deer have their legs taken off by the tractors as they cut hay. I have shot one three legged deer (I didn' t even notice it when I shot her and she was missing the bottom six inches or so) and I' ve missed another. She ran funny but otherwise whe was fine. They are real survivors, aren' t they?

Judging from the picture she does not look like she was un healthy aside from the missing limb. That goes to show you how strong and resistant to things that whitetails really are! I do say that you did the right thing by taking her though!

She was a fat doe, had plenty to eat for sure. Myself and two other' s saw her limping around in different areas.

If you were processing her yourself, would you quarter her or cut her in thirds??
