Does anyone have any idea what the herds are doing? Are they horny and running or maybe a little turned off by the cold. I heard my area (Ogilvie, S of Mil lacs) is seeing alot of activity - pretty busy in the past week.

I' M only about 40 miles north of you and seeing more rubs and scrapes every day--should be a good rifle season!

i read an article in the Green Bay Press Gazette that says there are more bucks than does around this year.

I haven' t been out to my woods lately to see what the action is because 1)I don' t want to be leavin any scent out there for the bucks to get smarter and 2)I just got back from Canada, but from what I understand the bucks are rubbin, scrapin and running like crazy around here. I wish I were going out this weekend, but my season isn' t until the 22nd. I' ll be out with the bow though. Good luck to you all. Shoot straight and let the little ones walk....he, he
