Don't stress yourself too much on scoring. It's a pretty flawed system to begin with as you can have a buck with over 10 points and an excess of 230lbs easily score relatively low while a buck that's quite smaller can score higher. Personally I go by the deer's weight but you should go by whatever makes you happy. If it made it worth the effort and filled your freezer then it's already a better catch than the guy stressing because his nice deer didn't score high.
