RE: snow while hunting
I Love Snow. I grew up in it, learned to hunt in it. Now Im stuck in the south and dont get any (sob). I go back to Wyoming to hunt as often as possible because Im homesick for some real hunting weather. Any of you guys who live where you get lots of snow in deer season are blessed.

i agree with the fact that you can hear them better without the snow. in one place i hunt i sit on the edge of a small clearing where like 8 trails meet. i can hear them comeing and find out which trail they are coming on. i saw 5 dif deer in two days. 2 were yearling does and 3 were bucks, ( a nice sized fork, a 1 1/2 yr spike and a 4 or 5 yr perfect 10 pointer. sucks though i couldnt shoot it, doe season only last weekend. i really like to be out in the woods after a fresh 3 or 4" of snow very pretty![8D]

RE: snow while hunting
I don' t mind a little snow in JULY. The rest of the time it sucks. To me it makes everything twice as hard. Where I hunt there are deep river breaks that you can hardly walk up and down when its dry let alone when you have snow and mud and Ice. No you can keep my share too if you would.

RE: snow while hunting
I like the snow as well for hunting. Sucks for everything else though.
Even bowhunting which is close range, the snow makes it more interesting. Dan |
