No bidders? I just checked it an noone is bidding. I wish I wouldn't have opened this thread up, because I was in a very good mood until now. Its a shame that this is what is coming. The sob has made his money on that bull elk and now wants to make a killing. Anyone who shoots an animal in that way is no hunter! Gee! Any of you also wondering where our concerned animal rights groups are on this one. Perhaps they could spend some of their precious funds and buy this animal and set it free. I suspect not. Just wondering!

I think that is ok if some fool wants to pay that kind of money so he can go back to his corporate office and tell big time hunting stories. Only thing is IT'S NOT HUNTING. It is farming. Which I have no problem with. Just don't confuse the two. If I had the money I would buy the thing and walk up to it and kill it with my buck knife. That would go over well with the sellers I bet.

Chooch - Exactly. The anti-hunting groups thrive on this kind of thing - and the sell the non-hunting public the idea that this is what hunting is all about and hey, can you really blame Mrs Soccer Mom for being a little upset ?

I have been around here a while, and I have seen quite a few member post that just let it all blow over and it'll be okay. In other words, do nothing and things will work themselves out. Thats what has gotten us this far - the banning of spring bear hunts, banning of trapping, banning of mountain lion hunting etc. If the general public thinks hunting is walking into a 200 acre pen and shooting half tame deer and elk, then we WILL lose. It amazes me people cannot see this <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

He pretty much is. I'd bet he is one of the many that will come right up to the hay ride wagon and eat right out of your hand.
