Yes, 176 3/8". We saw this buck in 2016, but just one time. We finally found him again this year during the 3rd week of the season. I hunted him for 10 days and he finally slipped up and I got a shot at him.. Bucks like this are few and far between around here. Mature bucks typically are in the 130 to 150 range. Not sure how next season will be as our winter has been brutal so far.. Lots of snow on the ground and extremely cold. We are -26 below here right now as I write this (that's not the windchill...it's what the thermometer reads). We were -33 here week before last and we've had windchills down to -55. The wildlife needs a breaks (as do I!!!).

Here's a couple I took through my telephoto lens a few days before I shot him. Note that he was chasing some Mule Deer does around..

Didn't get much for field photos as I shot him late in the afternoon and by the time I'd walked back to my truck, dragged him to where I could drive to, etc. it was dark. Here's one back at the house...

Howdy... I'm just east of Chinook...been here for 38 years. Ya, it's shaping up to be a very tough winter. Deer are hitting the haystacks where they can and are bunched up trying to survive. I hope it's not like the winter we had back in 2012.

Thanks for posting those.
Looks like he had quite the imposing thick, but also "race-horse"-like build. Hopefully he bred some mulie does that survive the winter and put some nice hybrids out there that might turn into something real special 4-5 years from now.
