Just signed the petition - sure would like to hunt the whole weekend. Being a lifelong Virginian, I remember the bad old " blue laws" days. You couldn' t buy laundry soap on a Sunday, but you could buy car wax. Go figure.

Hey Taz, I am also a lifelong Va Hunter. I just can' t understand why, in the current financial situation in our state, why the lawmakers would not want to make the extra money of Sunday hunts. If they change this law, more people will start planning 3 day weekend hunts in our state, buying licenses, eating at restaurants, and generally spending more money. I can' t see the downside to doing this. More cash for Virginia and a bunch of happy hunters who vote. Is there any large group that would oppose this? I can only think of churches. I have spoken to my pastor on this and he assures me, as the bible does, that I don' t need a building to pray in on Sundays. Thanks for the post, I will sign today.
