out of the bucks i have taken and its not alot but all were taken between 11:00 and 3:00. i think midday is the best time for bucks, special during the rut. if you want bucks hunt the does cuz thats where the bucks are.

Why leave your stand unless your going home? Your not gonna shoot one at the truck or back at camp. Bring your lunch with you. Besides the am. & pm. I' ve taken deer at 10:30, 11:30 2:00 and 2:30, And have seen numerous Bucks roaming all through the day during the rut. The only problem with bringing your lunch in with you in the am., is your pack is heavier. It gets worse, cause on your way back out your pack is lighter, but now you have this darn deer to drag out also.;):D

mid day hunting is good - i think, there up and moving --got to get there noon time snack in before the rest of the hunters come bk--then thats well be waiting[8D]!!

I hunt all day unless its real hot, and have taken some nice bucks during the middle of the day. One thing is for sure....you WONT kill a buck sitting around camp in the middle of the day, but you MIGHT get one in the middle of the day from your stand. Need I say more ??
