Thanks Steve. I like nice hunting gear but I am retired and do not want to spend a fortune on toys. The Leupold will serve my grandson well after I am gone and the warranty will still be good. It is my first Leupold and I am impressed with it. Keep an eye out, they put sales on from time to time.

Been happy with my 20 year old scopes. They're less expensive 3x9 scopes. Never got into sighting in at 700 yards. Seems newer people want to do it differently.

Leupold solves all things.

Have a Bushnell Elite 3500 now, but will probably buy Vortex next time (whenever that is).

The Bushnell Elite 3500 has better eyes than mine at the beginning and end of shooting light! It's also sturdy enough to withstand repeated magnum recoil (used to be on my dad's 7mm Rem Mag). What more can a guy want?
