Ruger American 450 Bushmaster Bolt Action
#2
Seems more like a cartridge up Marlin's alley more than Ruger's, really. If someone in S. Michigan bets they'll change the regulations to be more Indiana-like within the next 5 years, I wouldn't see why they'd spend in excess of $500 on this.
Still, for close-range woods hunting with a lever gun, it seems like it'd be a great cartridge.

I hunt in a state without rifle restrictions
But it gives Marlins more power for longer distances, I'm culling expenses, so a Marlin can now become a new distance rifle. Spend a little handloading expense and get a "new" distance rifle for a few dollars. The reloading equipment is all paid for, for years, and it'll save the 500 or 700 and buying a new rifle.
