Default Great Opening week in the Low Country SC

Danny and I got to spend a few days at our club this week in Colleton County, South Carolina. The mosquitoes were not that bad but the heat was unbearable and the snakes plentiful. We managed to bag a few animals. I killed an 8 in the peanut field on Wed evening, a few hogs were killed and Johnny (Boneheadhunting) managed a massive 10 pt on Sat night. The 10 pt has a broken antler and it grew that way. That brute weighed in at 217 lbs. Also got to spend some time with a good friend (Southern Pines) and met Joshua Carney, then headed down to the Nemour Plantation and hung out with some of the Outdoor Dream Foundation and Flesh and Blood folks as they were getting ready for some hunting and fishing with 3 great kids. All in all, a great week!!!!

I agree, nice bucks and hogs and nice you got the kids out, especially the one in the wheel chair, but As much as I like hunting, it is way too hot for me to hunt in August.

Congrats on the harvest it looks like y'all had a great time. I'm actually in the low country right now but heading back to Kansas tomorrow I'll come back in the fall to hunt.

Great hunt and I have to agree, being just north of you guys in NC I don't know if I could handle the heat as well as you guys are doing.

Awesome! Really cool you guys got to get kids involved, and I must say it looks quite special being able to take a buck when it is still in velvet.
