I just watched tv in disbelief while Brock on Better Built world of Hunting killed a nice buck out of the truck. They were riding down a dirt road with fields on each side. Brock is in a stand built in the truck bed and he' s eyeballying the fields as they drive along. He' s about 6 feet above the cab. They spot some does and a buck and stopped. Brock told the driver the buck was in range and I was waiting for him to get out of the truck bed and follow the buck to shoot him but he shot him from the truck on tv. They were in Mexico and I guess that' s legal there but they ought to show it on the Mexican tv not in Amercia. How many young hunters will be influenced by this garbage. I don' t care if it' s legal or not in Mexico, it ain' t hunting, it' s just killing, and it' s not legal in any state that I know of. They need to take hunting out of the name of the show. What a bunch of propaganda for the anti' s. I thought it was sorry as heck just to be looking for deer from the truck much less shoot the deer from the truck.
I' m going to check to see if thay show has a web site and there getting a nasty letter from me.

[:@] I' ve never heard of this particular " hunting" show that you' ve just mentioned, but it does' nt sound like a hunting show to me, more like a " poaching made easy" show.[:@][:@] This is the kinda thing the anti' s just love to use against REAL hunters. Don' t just send a nasty letter to the website, I' d say a nasty one to the channel that aired the show would also be in big order. It' s stupidity like this that gives us all a bad rep[:' (] What channel showed such idiocy anyway? If this is the norm, I' d have one word for Brock about his " show" , CANCELLED!!!!!!!!

i know that at some deer hunting spots are too thick and too vast to hunt with stands. they use a pickup with like a stand welded above it. is that what they shot it out of??? i do not consider this hunting, but for whoever choose to hunt this way, thats your own business.

agree with you rocky top. been hunting 30 years and have never shot an illegal deer. also have two sons 25 and 22. they also have never killed an illegal deer. im not looking for any pat on the back. just the way we hunt. also have 1 month old grandson(1st one very proud). hope he learns something from his " papaw,uncle and dad" . thanks

Those guys are a bunch of $hithead poachers nothing more.The outdoor channel is full of shows like that,texas trophy hunters, buckmasters,the list goes on.All you can do to stop them is to not buy stuff from the sponsors of those type of shows.

Guess some moderator didnt like my last reply about this post and deleted it. All I said was pickup trucks, spot light and really racking up the number of deer that way. Anywho here is my question. What is the difference between shooting from a truck and hunting in a pay ranch that has deer enclosed in a fence? Both kinda suck. PS: The post about trucks, lights etc... was a J-O-K-E. [&:]

Thats rediculous. Do these guys (notice I didn' t say hunters) get pleasure from shooting from trucks, and not taking the time to scout, plan, track, ect. to get their game? Just doesn' t sound like a fun hunt to me.

do you guys just want to burn and complain or would you rather do something about it? if so then go to the bb website, look at their sponsors and start writing emails expressing your displeasure. they take hints very quickly.

Kobear, they shot out of the welded stand in the truck. Truck came to a stop, he said something about the range and then shot the deer from the platform on the truck.
Plainsman this was on the outdoor channel yesterday afternoon around 4pm.

I hope I got the name of this show right. There is also a Better Built world of Outdoors but I could have swore this show said Hunting instead of outdoors. I' m doing some research.

Harry Bucknuts, I agree the fenced hunting and the truck hunting both leave alot to be desired. I would like to see tv shows put a disclaimer on these shows that says this `This outdoor show has nothing to do with hunting, just killing.'

That' s the web site and I had the name wrong, It' s Better built world of Outdoors and Brock Ray was the guy. I' m writing the sorry show and hope others do too.
