I hunt in SC and have seen a coyote on my trail cam a couple times. We don't really have a bad coyote problem but I want to take this one out. What would be my best approach? Traps? Calls? Or should I just not worry about it? I have a couple of pictures of him chasing deer and this is really the main reason I want him gone.

I can tell you right now if you got them they are there to stay.

Dawn and dusk are your best times; set-up just as if you were deer hunting.

If you have a motion decoys that always helps, even if it's a stick with a turkey feather tied to it.

If you are going to call, start off softly.

They will come into your set-up from down wind - so try to leave a good opening down wind of your set-up.

I recommend if you are calling to corral a friend to hunt with you then you can watch your back down wind side easier. Do not call for more that 30 minutes at the most. Look your area over carefully before you pack up to leave so you don't educate them. Yes if there is one there are more.
Do not over call the area either.

You can have fun hunting them and it might make you feel better, but I wouldn't bet on getting rid of them by hunting or trapping. It'd been tried before.

My nephew shot a doe on a muzzle loader hunt this past week end. When he got situated and reloaded after the shot he went to track the deer(about 8 or 10 min max).
When he slipped up on the dead deer there was already a coyote that had drug her several feet and was starting to eat through the rear end of it. He killed the coyote standing over the deer.
