Hard to tell maybe 3.5 years old. Was a rough winter so can't just go off body size.

body size has nothing to do with the winter, they don't shrink, they lose weight.

Kinda yes and kinda no there oldtimr. Remember, older bucks have that "beer gut" and a sway to them. If it was a hard winter, they may or may not have that particular age identifier. They may also have lost some muscle mass in a hard winter making them look a little "sleeker" and younger than what they actually are. Not really having that "bull dog" look to them if you know what I mean.

We did have a couple bad winters back-to-back. But the deer seem pretty healthy now. I have seen a couple of pretty portly bucks already (see pic of the 8-pointer). Over the winter, we put out many bales of alfalfa so they hopefully went into the spring in decent shape.
