Default setting up by bedding areas

I am planning on doing some late season bowhunting on some public land after muzzleloader season and was curious how close to bedding areas you guys set up. I know I dont want to set up to close but I still want to catch the deer before dark. Im sure like all public land the deer will have been pressured all rifle season and probably wont move until right before dark. Any advice and suggestions and greatly appreciated! Thanks!

As close as possible with out busting them out and that may not even work to see any. 99% of the deer were not moving until dark during the first week of our MI rifle season (11/15-11/30). It was a bummer when all I saw were tracks in the snow at daylight every day and all the animals were already bedded in areas that you couldn't get at them.
