Through the shoulders. Gonna grind them up for sausage or hamburger anyhow so may as well start the process early!

I've taken all of them, it depends upon how far away the deer is, the angle and if it's in cover or out in the open...

I voted for double shoulder, because I typically hunt some very thick stuff and like to put them in the dirt quickly. However, if given the opportunity on a calm deer, I usually will take a neck shot if it's available.

I always try to go with the heart/lung shot. If I'm bowhunting, the ideal is to release when the deer is quartering away and the near-side leg is in the forward position.
