What's the hunting pressure like there? Bucks of that caliber never come out in the open in the daylight where we hunt....even in summer. Actually, most of our biggest bucks don't hit the fields even at night during the rut. Those bucks spend all there time in the swamps, clear cuts and steep mountain sides.

We have 10 acres of turnips, 5 acres of daikon radishes, an apple orchard and a few mini plots. They are full of doe, fawn, small bucks and bears. If I hike a mile or more out into the big woods, I can get trail cam pics of bruisers....but not anywhere close.

BarnesX.308 in this spot I don't think there is a lot of pressure yet. now the place I hunted last year had a ton of pressure and we hardly saw anything. There are other hunters around this place, but we are the only ones with permission to hunt so I'm hoping that helps us.

VTBONECOLLECTOR, Vermont is a ways away from Kansas.

We don't see deer like that to often in Vermont. I've seen maybe 2 big racked bucks like that in VT my entire hunting career and I'm 43. I've hunted in Ohio 2 times and the last time I saw at least 3 bucks of that caliber. Wish we had opportunities at bucks like that here but that's why we travel to Ohio. Anyway, good luck in the fall and let me know if you get one of them or anything at all.
