i think its also like having someone jump around a corner of your house and scare the **** outta you when you least expecting it, least for me some of it deals with that, once im in a stand im fine.

There aren' t many things out there in the dark that aren' t there when the sun comes up , and most of them are harmless . Try carrying a teddy bear in with you when you go to your stand . After the first time you won' t worry about the dark anymore . Be sure to descent the teddy ... :D :D :D

I use to back when I was 17-18. Now that I' m 34, I realize that most critters are more afraid of humans. The only thing I worry about now is the No-Shoulders you can' t see in the dark. Thats why I wear the 16" Rocky snake boots I bought 4 years ago. I have seen to many Copperheads and Moccasins between my footsteps.
