It's a nice buck! I would imagine this is a nice time of year to hunt by you. A bit cooler and more comfortable in the woods. Plus there are probably a lot fewer other hunters.

Nice buck for FL. I did a lot of deer hunting around P/Cola and Crestview when I was stationed there. Biggest I got was a 6 pt that weighed 155 lbs. I loved the fact that I could legally hunt until Mar. Plus, the Military Gold Sportsman license was great. All the hunting and fishing tags for $20.

That's one of the reasons the Boss and I want to return to FL when I retire.

Congrats on the nice buck. I would love to be able to do some deer hunting right now. Bored out of my mind and still have 2 1/2 months before our turkey season opens.

Gun season ends Feb.23 then muzzle loader season ends March 2.This is the latest they have let us hunt and they(FF&G) were trying to get the rut to be during gun season.
Flags,where I hunt we are on the border of the Florida and Alabama deer so we never know what size we will get and we sure are not complaining.
