I own a T/C Venture. Yes, there have been 2 recalls on the rifle and T/C has top notch customer service. The first time I sent it in, I received it back in 2 weeks and the second time took about a month. I never had any problems with mine personally. It's deadly accurate, as advertized, right out of the box. I've owned it for 4 years and have shot deer at 50 yards and out to 225 yards. No complaints from me and I recommend it to any who asks. I have more expensive rifles but they don't come close to the shot groups that the T/C shoots. All self preference I guess.

I have a TC Venture in 7 mm mag. I had an issue with my first gun. There must have been a manufacturing issue in the chamber. After 3-4 shots, I couldn't open the bolt. Took it back to my shop and it was sent back to TC, and a replacement sent out shortly after. It is extremely accurate, relatively light, and the stock is very comfortable. Took my buck this year with it right at 100 yards. I believe I got mine for right around $380 and topped it with a Zeiss Conquest. Also, I'm a big Ruger fan. My other deer rifles are a No 1, and M77 MKII. My final decision came down between the TC and the American. 3 things pushed me to the TC, which were the 5r rifling, accuracy guarantee, and trigger adjustability without removing the stock/action. Even with the initial hiccup, I feel I got more gun than I paid.

I have the T/C Venture in 204 Ruger and I love it. Flat shooter and accurate with factory ammo.

the recall states'm rifles made before June 13 2013 in some rifles the safety lever may bind preventing the safety from becoming fully engaged.

Yup, it also says that there is a fix for that, and shows you how to identify if a particular rifle has been fixed or not.

This isn't the first rifle recall that's ever been issued as I pointed out about my friends Rem 722 made back in the 50's... It's certainly no death sentence for the for the T/C Venture, but may result in me picking one up cheap:cool2:

If any of you all are planning on buying, I saw the Venture in the Gander Mountain flyer for $400 (after rebate), without a scope apparently.
