Better late than never...
 

I've been browsing around this site for a little while and wanted to finally make a significant post. This deer season was my second season ever. Last year I was lucky enough to get a doe with my bow even though I had just purchased a bow and learned how to shot it in the middle of the season. Well, this year I decided to purchase an Ithaca Deerslayer II a few weeks before firearm season started and wouldn't you know I got my first buck on opening day! I know this post is a little late but hey, I've got to start somewhere.

I was completely hooked after my doe last season. Luckily, my wife is becoming a big fan of venison too!

That's a nice buck...sure its not a record. But for me its not about making the record books. Its about the hunt. Congrats! You going to do a Euro mount or anything with it?
