I saw twin spotted fawns here in Ohio one time in late November about 5 years ago.

I've seen spotted fawns in late fall. It's rare and the fawn likely won't survive the winter.

I won't say something can't happen. But in parts of the country where the rut is in the fall, does normally cannot breed at a time that would yield a spotted fawn on 11/29. But, you saw what you saw. The yearling doe or the mature doe may have been the mother. It was obvioulsy a very late conception.
And for the record, bucks are physically capable of breeding year-round. Antlers have nothing to do with it. |
