That looks like my 50th Anniversary model...Doe she have a 6 1/2 inch barrel???

What ammo did you use??

Yup. Its the 50th Flat top with the 6.5". I shot him with one of my loads. 240 grain soft point.

I have a couple of 44 mag rifles and th get the job done out to about 100 yards. Great kids rifle.

Love those single action Ruger 44s.

I've killed a few deer and a bunch of hogs with mine but never a nice buck like that.

Me too. Keep on hunting, you will come across a nice buck. I have not hunted with a gun in years. I normally hunt with a longbow. I went to my cabin, from Lubbock and waited for a buddy to come down. He was going to run by my house and pick up my bows. He had troubles and could not make it. I wanted to hunt and all I had at the cabin was the 44 mag so I took it out. I have to admit, it was fun to go out with guns again. I have some 45 colts, and 357s that I have not hunted with in years, I might pull them out and finish off my doe tags and pop some hogs with them.
