My cousins son use his to hunt with for probably the last 3 years. Killed 2 bucks and 3 does and 1 bear. He is 9 years old he uses hornady 139 sst. He used to use the rem 120 to groundhog hunt, then switched 140 for deer. So know he uses the hornady for every thing.

Never had a 140 core lock not exit. The sst never seen a deer shot with the 139 in a 7/08 have to call my cousin. I use the 95 sst in my 6mm and they don't exit but make a big entrance hole deer don't go far and big blood trail. Seen the bear shot in head no skull to put back together. For European mount.

The sst do about the same amount of damage as nosler big game ballistic tips. I chose the sst because you can get it in loaded ammo cheaper then nosler ammo. I mainly use plane remington corelocks on deer. I only reload for hard to get or expensive cartridges. Like my dad's 257 wby, and 7x61 sharp and hart.
