Wow, returning from our deer woods on Saturday, I was driving out the dirt road when I saw a huge animal standing at a field edge a short distance off the road. Wasn't sure at first if it was a large horse as it stood facing us. The ears were smaller at the base, wider, then thinner at the tip just like a deer's. Then I notice that this field had no fencing.

We pulled over and upon getting out, sure enough, it was a large cow moose standing there. My buddy was able to get out his phone and take a few pics. Then he shot a short video of it trotting away.

I've seen moose in upstate ME years ago but this is the first one I've seen in my hometown of New Marlborough, MA. We were musing about what if that thing came under your stand?!
